    Lucy giggled and started back toward her car but only made it a step before Tim grabbed her elbow and tugged her back, the other hand sliding into her hair to guide her face to his. Before Lucy really knew what was happening she was overwhelmed with his lips on hers. His breath on her cheek, his body against her, both hands in her hair. The smell of Tim Bradford was-
    A shiver rocked her when his tongue touched her top lip. She met it with hers.
    And then he let her go and she blinked up at him, trying to catch her breath.
    “There,” he said smugly. “Got that out of the way.”

    Dating your best friend is awkward at first. And then it's really hot.
