Summary
So I've found that I seem to do better with writing bits about behind-the-scenes happenings that we don't quite see in the comics than I do with writing original fanfics. So I think that's what I'm gonna do. This is a story that I started about a year ago that's been sitting in my notes app on my phone for quite a while now, and I figured I'd share it. So here's some stuff I wrote in an effort to get inside the mind of my favorite merc of all time: Medic.

In a moment of boredom and in an effort to try to get inside my second-favorite merc's head a little bit, I wrote this little literary version of Sniper's scene from the comic "Meet the Director."

Summary
Once started an urban legend among the fandom of We Were Here. A tale of the Gate to Castle Rock. Every year in October, since the release of We Were Here Together, cryptic hints and messages would arrive, leading only the smartest of Explorers to the location of the Gate. If every Explorer who found it was present on the eve of Halloween, it was rumored they'd be given the chance to truly visit the long vanquished kingdom of Castle Rock.
Nearly nobody believes it, of course. The ones who did never landed on a location all of them could reach and even if it were possible, there was no such thing as travel through time and space on Earth. The legend was soon nothing more than a rumor and people refused to hear out the occasional raving lunatic who spoke of it still.
Only a few perceptive eyes observed the anxious changes in Total Mayhem Games' behavior every year. And only six dared this year, to find the Gate that appeared in a space all six of them could reach...

Summary
Leo knows this isn't about him; not anymore. But that doesn't stop the nightmares from haunting him every night, or the fact that he may have to wear a leg brace for a long time. It doesn't stop his shell from hurting, or his breath from catching when the air is too stagnant. Leo knows his brothers are struggling, too. But, in the aftermath of what happened to him - to them - he's having a really hard time getting back to normal.

Summary
Jacklyn had heard a great deal of terrible rumors and stories about the Knight’s Contempt and the daunting, formidable woman that captained it. Though throughout Jacklyn’s time upon the seas, most of the stories she heard had all painted the same picture.
The captain of the Knight’s Contempt was the deadliest pirate in the channel, and a woman at that! Some tried to claim that no woman could induce such a fear among sailors, but all first-hand accounts insisted that it was, indeed, a young woman.Jacklyn was terrifyingly intrigued by the tales of the pirate captain in a way she knew went far beyond just mild interest.
