Summary
A visit from two Johto trainers finally convinces Red to leave Mt. Silver; when he returns to Kanto he finds everything nearly the same, like a room with all the furniture shifted an inch to the left. The press breathing down his neck is an overbearing reminder of why he fled to the wilderness in the first place and his five year disappearing act has made everything that much worse. Furthermore every time he leaves the safety of his childhood home or the Viridian City Gym he's given a stark reminder that this world was never even meant to be for people like him.
Blue has been begging Red to rejoin civilization for years, yet now that this wish has finally come true he finds old insecurities he thought he'd long since laid to rest cropping up again. This coupled with his uncertainty regarding where he stands with his childhood rival leave him to face painful feelings he had wished to permanently bury.
