“What are we going to do?” Rex asks. He’s waiting for orders. It makes Ahsoka’s heart ache.
“We’re going to fight back.” Ahsoka exhales. “And we’re going to rescue your brothers.”
“Vor entye,” Rex responds. “Vor entye, Ahsoka, General, aliit. I will follow you anywhere.”
(Alternatively: seven months after the rise of the Empire and the Jedi Purge, Ahsoka Tano and Rex return to Coruscant. There is grief to be found in multitudes, but there is hope, too. After all, rebellions are built on hope.)
