"Maki-san, what's your type of body in guys? Or girls, you know," she added quickly, batting her eyelashes innocently. "No judgment."
Knowing that her friend wouldn't drop the subject, Maki reflected on her answer. "Skinny."
Nobara made a face, and seemed quite annoyed by her response seeing how her legs began to move restlessly, making their jointed desks shake with their rhythm. "So you like them skinny."
"Yeah." Maki repeated.
"Skinny and scrawny."
She shrugged in response. "I guess."
"So you like Okkotsu Yuuta."

Summary
The humans present her as his wife. However, the woman that comes out of the palanquin is different from the ones offered in the past.
She wasn’t crying and shaking. She was calm and serious.
She wasn’t wearing a wedding gown, and Uraume at his side frowns at this.
The woman is wearing a kodose and a red hakama.
A shrine maiden.

Summary
Parasocial relationships are stupid. So naturally, it’s incredibly stupid to be sort-of-in-love with your favourite camgirl, who even covers half of her face on her streams, who’s clearly keeping her anonymity carefully. Whose name you don’t know but whose ten-or-something sets of prissy lingeries you keep track of.
Well, Diluc’s about to learn how stupid he can really be.

D: Got word that there’s two new foriegners joining our tiny college. Got in with top scores, enough to rival Albedo’s.
The alchemist blinked. Rivaled his, huh? He watched as little icons popped up. Probably a lot of people were in his similar position; two seconds away from tearing their eyes out from the constant exam studies. This was a welcome distraction. Amber was the first one to talk, which was surprising, cause Albedo was sure that there was a track meet at 5am.
A: new peeps? anything interesting?
D: Twins, one guy, one girl. They excel at just about everything.
Albedo joined the conversation.
Al: Interesting. You don’t normally alert us of such information.
D: They’re a weird case.

Summary
Ajax had a soulmate mark, just like about half the population of Teyvat did.
If Ajax ever found his soulmate, he would pretend to be normal for them. He would observe from afar if possible, and make sure nothing happened to them. That no ailments ever came to them. That they never came to lack anything.
That was the plan. Or, at least, it had been, until the Tsaritsa requested an audience with him alone and asked to see his mark.“Tartaglia,” she began, serious. “That is Morax, the Geo Archon.”
-------------
Or, Ajax is Morax' soulmate, the Tsaritsa ships him off to Liyue, and he has to pretend like he doesn't feel like he's not good enough for the Geo Archon.

“Hey,” calls Yuuji. Gojou pauses and looks back over his shoulder. “You never introduced yourself.”
“Gojou Satoru. Professor in Folklore, Ome City darts champion three years running, and man voted most likely to die without paying his bills by the hospital nurses’ association. Nice to meet you.” He throws a peace sign, turns it into a salute, and then keeps walking.
What a nut bar, thinks Yuuji.

Summary
Lumine, like the children in his yard, is just probably confused. He’s going to let her down gently because the poor woman is just lying to herself that they’re more than what they are and he’s more than who he is. He’s just a guy she’s sleeping with, a guy that raises her son and takes care of her home and is a nanny but not really. Scaramouche does gardening and plumbing and other things for free, but not really, too.
Cleaning the kitchen counters until they squeak, he would never be able to do domesticity, Scaramouche thinks.

"I won't let him hurt you," Sukuna said.
His arms are tight around Megumi's middle, keeping him close and pressed against a strong chest. Something eased in Megumi's chest for the first time in a year, since the first bloody letter arrived and his life hadn't known peace.
He tilted his head back, until he could look Sukuna in the eye. "I know," he said quietly, for the first time. Sukuna wouldn't let anything happen to him.

Summary
“I was always taught you shouldn’t accept food from strangers,” Megumi told him, his voice flat, doing his best to appear disinterested. It was also a lie - if anything, he was sure Gojou would’ve encouraged him to get into the back of any van for candy as a child.
Megumi’s dull tone did nothing to sway the boy’s pleasant demeanor, his honeyed smile still dripping from his lips and onto his words. He held out his free hand, fingers opened and splayed. “Yuuji Itadori! It’s nice to meet you…” His words trailed off, expectedly waiting a response.
Something must have possessed Megumi. He suddenly felt as though he was watching himself from an outside perspective as he leaned forward, cold hands wrapping around Itadori’s rough and warm hands. “Megumi Fushiguro,” he replied, forcing his voice not to shake. The hospital was definitely fucking with his head.

Summary
This cold, twisting, biting anguish in his gut – this isn’t tenderness, isn’t need. It’s pity, pure and simple. Itadori deserved better than dying in a prison yard with a curse inside him. But it was always bound to end this way, surely, and that’s that.
Simple, done.
He just wishes he could stop crying.

Summary
“You know, we could use this,” says Suguru when Satoru calls him, because of course. There’s nothing he can’t exploit. “Everyone loves a fairy tale, and you’re tall and handsome and famous. A perfect prince. Personality excluded, obviously.”
“Obviously,” says Satoru, dryly.
“But since the media started picking up on your moment of madness, we’ve been trending up.”
“It wasn’t a moment of madness.”
“How else do you explain admitting to the world that you fell in love with a guy you met in a club, and then forgot to get his name?”

“You must know Gojou's reputation,” says Fushiguro Megumi, a fellow seiyuu and voicing Odysseus in Wine Dark Sea, over tempura at an izakaya later that night.
Yuuji shrugs. “I mean, sure. Who doesn’t? Hot, rich, playboy.”
“Hot rich playboy with the personality of a dumpster fire,” corrects Fushiguro.

Summary
Gojou leans in close – too close, so close Yuuji thinks he’s coming in for a kiss and that would be weird but maybe also okay – and smiles. Then he reaches up and raises his glasses.
His eyes are a colour Yuuji’s never seen before, like the blue sky shot through with diamonds, like stars in the daytime. “Oh,” says Yuuji, breath catching.
Because he’s just found his muse.
OR: Young fashion designer Itadori Yuuji is looking for the model who will make his career. Unfortunately, it happens to be a dumpster fire named Gojou Satoru.

Summary
Yuuji was tired, and scared, and hungry. So very hungry.
Rolling through the dumpster each day after his grandpa went into coma sure wasn't fun, but what else could Yuuji do? He's 6, with dead parents and a comatose guardian. He has to survive through any means.
So when he saw the mangled, corroded finger, he was fever riddled and his eyesight was pretty funny and he just wanted food.
You can't blame him for eating whatever semi-edible thing he saw, can you?
Or Sukuna gives humanity a shot, and Yuuji gets the hugs he needs.

Summary
The very first petals come up clean, cherry blossoms with flecks of foam. The wisps of pink glare from Megumi's palm, and he quickly clenches his fist to crush them.
He's been expecting it. The curses that thrive in spring are slow and nasty, too light to notice until you're halfway through death's door, like the spring showers that pour instantly into monsoons.
He's not even sure when the Hanahaki curse took hold. In the past week alone, he can think of a dozen times or more it could have rooted. All he knows is now his throat tastes bitter and there are petals in his palm, soft against the callouses and scars.
No one can know. Never.
