Summary
Horror stories whispered of foster parents who liked to remove the soulmate marks of misbehaving foster children. Hitoshi heard his fair share of nightmarish threats from the mouths of adults who were supposed to nurture him.
He kept his marks hidden beneath clothes and makeup since he received them. There were days where he forgot they were there. He had plans to keep that meticulous routine until he aged out of the system, and could safely approach his soulmates, whoever they might be.
Said plans were ruined when he enrolled into Class 1-A, and saw his mark wrapped around the foreheads of five classmates. Joy.

Summary
“I expected better from you, Problem Child.”
Izuku brings his shoulders up to his ears at Aizawa’s stern tone. The lecture begins in a blistering tone that he tries to pay attention to—he does, he really does; but the stress, the disappointment, the scolding . . . it’s too much. His mind whirls with thoughts. Apologies melt on his tongue. His headspace sinks deep claws into his mind, intent to drag itself out of the box Izuku has been shoving it into for months, now.
“—Midoriya,” that sharp voice cuts through his muddled thoughts. Aizawa leans forward with narrowed eyes, forearms pressed against his knees. Stern homeroom teacher melts into stern caregiver when he questions, “Are you listening to me—?”
Unable to smother the cacophony of little inside of him anymore, Izuku bursts into tears.

Summary
Labeled a delinquent because of his quirk, “inability to listen,” and foster child status, Hitoshi did his best to keep his head down and live as quietly as possible. When his current foster parents kicked him out after learning of his Little status (his scent patch failed him once, and everything literally went to hell), Hitoshi decided he might as well embrace his label and started pickpocketing to aid his steadily dwindling funds.
Then, Hitoshi had the misfortune of targeting Eraserhead one morning.

“I believe I said it was naptime, Hitoshi,” said Aizawa, in a voice that made Hitoshi’s heart crawl out of his lungs. It sent the world down around his ears as he picked up, plucked off his feet as though he weighed little more than a bag of chips. “Not ‘become an escape artist’ time.”

Summary
The Black Cats, a notorious vigilante group known to dismantle trafficking and drug rings, have befuddled the police and pro heroes for years. They leave zero traces of their existence—except for black cat stickers. Eraserhead is an underground pro hero assigned to their case, to figure out their identities and have them cease their vigilante work (they can’t be arrested, as there’s footage they haven’t used quirks).
Here’s the thing: no one is aware that the Black Cats are Little—and they’d like for it to stay that way. But with Eraserhead determinedly tracking down his “nighttime problem children,” things were bound to slip.

Hitoshi had been so focused on his goals, on catching up, on making sure his mother didn’t overwork herself she ended up in the hospital again, that he hadn’t even noticed. “They . . . They have?”
Aizawa raised an eyebrow. “We’ll work on your observation skills,” the man said. “But yes—Bakugo, Ashido, and Sero have presented as Caregivers.”
“Oh,” said Hitoshi, mind whirling. “That’s – interesting.”
So. Half of his friend group were Caregivers? Got it.
“It is,” Yamada agreed, and clapped his hands. “You know, if you look at the statistics . . . At least one of you in that little squad of yours is Little. Exciting!”
Yeah.
The Little was him.

It begins when Bakugo makes him blueberry pancakes, and Hitoshi’s far too tired to reel in his scent. Noise from the rest of class fades as Hitoshi accepts his plate with a tired, but chirped, “Thanks,” and digs in before he’s aware that he’s spilling happy babyhormones all over the dining hall.
Tokoyami asks him, “You’re Little?” and Hitoshi says, “Uh huh,” with syrup somehow already in his hair.

“It’s stereotypical,” sniffed Monoma. He took another sip of coffee, side-eyed a bypassing gaggle of smaller children dressed in costumes, and looked comically offended at one child’s pointed ears. “My ears are not pointy!”
Hitoshi fixed the brim of his hat—the presumed “witch’s” hat, of course; pointed and triangular, weathered from age and drooping near the tip—and smothered a laugh. “I don’t know,” Hitoshi said in a casual tone and squinted in Monoma’s general direction. “They look pointy to me.”
Monoma squeezed the mug until it shattered.
Halloween was an interesting time for the paranormal.

“I understand you’ve been harmed by . . . by my kind, Hitoshi, and I won’t invalidate those experiences . . . but U.A. exists to see you recover and thrive in a safe space.” Aizawa wished Kouda were here; did Hitoshi even understand human speech patterns yet? “We’re asking a lot out of you . . . but could you promise me you’ll let us know when you’re feeling ill so we may give you the proper care.”
Hitoshi stared at him impassively before he clicked his tongue and disappeared into the small forest of kelp, tail flicking behind in a lazy sweep. The edges of Aizawa’s lips quirked, nonetheless, as he thought, problem child.
3 times Hitoshi was sick and stayed hidden. +1 where he did the opposite.

“You’re going to be mad at me,” is the first thing Izuku says when Hitoshi answers the phone. “But, uh. Sorry in advance?”
Hitoshi takes a calming breath. “I’m not going to be mad at you.”
“That’s what you always say,” Izuku replies. Hitoshi senses the pout.
“What’d you do?” Hitoshi says, quiet and wary of being overheard by his foster family. They’d gotten . . . alarmingly nosy over his activities ever since he presented. “I won’t be mad.”
“. . . So. I might have, hypothetically, joined the League of Villains before they became the League of Villains . . .?”
Hitoshi hangs up the phone.
Or: When a volatile time quirk sends them in the past, Hitoshi and Izuku can’t help but have an agenda. Whether that agenda is in-sync with each other’s has yet to be seen.
