“You should leave the mafia,” Dazai said thoughtlessly, all of his brain power devoted to staring at Chuuya instead of considering his words.
It was like Dazai had pulled some kind of plug in Chuuya’s body. He stopped laughing, stopped moving, stopped doing anything but staring at Dazai with unblinking eyes. He was still as a statue for a few seconds, unnatural for someone usually bubbling over with energy like him. Dazai was starting to wonder if Chuuya was too drunk to even recognize him when Chuuya’s lip began to wobble dangerously.
“But I thought…” Chuuya’s voice wavered, making the cool anxious tingle under Dazai’s skin stronger, warning him that he had fucked up. “I thought you didn’t want me to. I thought I wasn’t…wasn’t good enough to go with you.”

Summary
As we saw in Underestimated, Mori has shifted the blame for A Fresh Start from himself to Chuuya, and is tightening his hold on the Port Mafia and questioning the loyalty of Chuuya's close friends despite having approved their continued friendship as a means to keep Chuuya emotionally tied to the organization. This week Dazai and Chuuya take on a job for Mori and exceed expectations in an attempt to mollify him. Simultaneously, Mori presents Higuchi with new expectations in light of her new ability that emerged last week.
Excerpt:
Dazai spun his chair a little so that as Chuuya approached, the shorter man stepped between his knees, and Dazai reached up to capture his waist, leaning his head against Chuuya’s stomach. Chuuya wrapped his arms around Dazai’s shoulders and held him.
“Thanks,” Chuuya murmured again. He hugged Dazai a while longer, and then opened his mouth, closed it again, and after a few more seconds asked hesitantly, “Odds?”
Dazai raised his head from Chuuya’s stomach and smiled at him more genuinely. “Chuuya,” he said, amused. “Me vs. Mori? Is that a serious question?” He squeezed Chuuya’s waist, and said, “I promise, you will get to keep your friends.”
