Summary
A second surprise was in store for her today, as in a span of barely a second, Enid suddenly looped an arm around one of Wednesday’s own, and began to whole-heartedly skip in the direction of Nevermore's reception, dragging her shorter frame across the tile pavement with vigorous fervour.
Wednesday, for all her years of mastery in perfecting the most unbreakable poker face, could not contain the noise of stark astonishment that reverberated from the bottom of her throat.

Five times Enid’s lively impulsivity leaves Wednesday uncharacteristically flustered, and the one time her carefully constructed mask falls. Wednesday (begrudgingly) is there to catch her (and all the times after).

Summary
The Heathers were not nice people, Veronica suddenly decided on a sleepless Saturday morning (Friday night? Who cares anymore. Her sleep schedule certainly didn’t).
It was a shame, really. Part of her hoped they actually had souls, a rare optimistic thought she liked entertaining once in a while. She never understood why it was so hard for anyone to at least try harder to be a better person (Not like she was the paragon of moral decisions either. A pink sweater-wearing friend instantly came to mind).
OR
Veronica can't sleep. Heather also can't sleep.
So what's a girl gotta do? Call her resident blue-clad forger turned not-quite-friends-but-getting-there for answers to maths work she actually doesn't care about. A night of unrest soon turns into late night banter and slightly awkward conversations.
Maybe Heather isn't quite the mythic bitch she makes herself out to be. Veronica will figure that out later.

A Forward by the Scholar Zuyen:
It has been a long upheld truth of our great nation that after the twin falls of the disgraced Fire Lord Ozai and Princess Azula, and their subsequent imprisonments, neither of the two ever regained contact with our well-respected Fire Lord Zuko. While Fire Lord Zuko ensured the humane holding conditions of his estranged father and sister immediately after his ascension to the throne, he reportedly never saw a need to continue communications with them. Before writing this book, my answer to such an obvious statement would have been, "Blasting flames—well of course he didn't!" Now, though, my answer would be quite different. But best leave that til later.
Fire Lord Zuko, when questioned about such matters, only ever gave one answer in response, saying: “A true leader has no need for snakes and scoundrels. Dragons are far superior.”
Given his far more professional reply, it is no wonder that he was the fire lord and I am a less-than-humble scholar.
