Febufluff Day 9 & 10 – Sick Day & Waking Up Together
Peter lifts one of his arms on the bed with a miserable pout. “If you promise not to throw up on me, I could really use some snuggles.”
The older boy’s still too pale face softens gently, grabbing another box of tissues as he stumbles back over to the bed.
“I hate this,” he groans when he falls into their bed, immediately tugging Peter into his arms. “Hate this.”
Peter hides his face against Harley’s old hoodie, ignoring the sort of gross smell. “Me too.”
Harley caught the flu after taking the subway home from school one day. He tried to convince Peter to stay away from him until he was better, but Peter couldn’t resist helping Harley and Peter caught the flu too.
So now they’re both absolutely, miserably sick with no healthy person to take care of them.

Febuwhump Day 3 & 4 - Living Nightmare & Red Stains
It's Peter. He's sitting against a wall, chin resting against his chest, hair falling in front of his eyes. His wrists are handcuffed to the radiator behind him, hands limp in them.
"C'mon, Petey, it's kind of pointless for proof of life if you look dead," a voice behind the camera says. There's some kind of voice jumbler that makes it sound more like a British Darth Vader. A steel-toed boot kicks Peter in the side making him jolt and blink blurrily up at the person holding the camera.
It's obvious he's drugged, eyes glazed and pupils blown. He's leaning heavily against his handcuffs, letting them hold him up, and he has a nasty bruise across the bridge of his nose and spread under both eyes.

Static.
It could’ve been any time between noon and 4am, he doesn’t know- couldn’t know. Time is hard to figure out when his brain is gone and his body is like a heavy, weighted puppet for him to puppeteer.
He wants help- needs help. He hates feeling like this. Like he’s so far away from reality, disconnected, filled with static, empty and unreal.
But he lays, alone and too far gone to really feel anything, in his bed, staring up at the ceiling, and losing himself in the ticking of his watch.

It’s always the same. A fake smile that irritates the bruise he’s covered up on his cheek, a hug that sends shooting pain through his stomach, lies that hurt his chest, not because of wounds but something deeper and invisible. But he pushes it all down and doesn’t let it show.
Simple as that.

“Let me explain. The game is simple. Iocane powder, tasteless, soluble, odorless, and the most poisonous substance known to man, or not known to man since it’s a very rare chemical formula to come across.
“Peter, here, will get to choose which glass he’ll put the drugs into, without me seeing. I pick which glass I drink, and which he drinks. If I choose right, you both die and I live. If I choose wrong, I die, and both of you can leave. The keys to get you out are right here.”

The breaths leave Peter’s throat in desperate pants, lungs burning and muscles aching as he pushes harder and faster. The trees blurring on either side of him.
No spandex, no webs, no backup.
He sees a flash of white somewhere to his right, standing out against the earthy tones. At least he knows Tony’s nearby. It doesn’t matter. They had a plan, and he’s going to stick to it.
Their plan was mostly just run. Not much time to think through many more details, but it’s still their plan. The only plan they’ve got right now.

She nods, resting her cheek against his chest, curling up tightly against him.
The guilt washes over him for what feels like the thousandth time, feeling her shiver against him and a wet patch bloom on his t-shirt from her tears. He doesn’t know what to do.

He’s sitting out on the back deck, a glass of lemonade on the table beside him, a pair of sunglasses, for once being used for their purpose. Morgan’s playing by her tent, following all the rules of playing outside, Tony hasn’t had to remind her once.
“Hey, Pete. Didn’t think I’d be hearing from you for another couple hours. Thought you had that project you were working on with that new friend of yours,” Tony says peacefully.
But his peace is almost instantly broken.

“His suit went offline a few minutes ago. I assumed he was done and took it off.” Steve doesn’t sound bothered at all, but Peter is. Tony wouldn’t have just taken off his suit.
Karen wordlessly pulls up a map to Tony’s last location and Peter takes off, webbing through the trees. Something’s wrong. He can feel it.
