Summary
In the Path of Despair, there is an additional zone to pass through before reaching Lavaland - the Fear Spheres. Each participant must face what they fear most in a hyper-realistic simulation, or else risk being barred passage forward - or worse.
Callum, Rayla, Ezran, and N'than must each complete their trials in order to find Rex Igenous...but the simulations are unpredictable, and harder for some than others. Set during S4/ep 7.
Chapter 1 will focus on the four simulations, while Chapter 2 will be more focused on Rayla and Callum comforting one another afterwards (aka Rayllum fluff).

After Umber Tor, things still haven't gotten better between Callum and Rayla. When they decide to return to Katolis to regroup, Rayla starts to consider leaving the castle to give him some space...forcing a much needed conversation between the two of them.
