Summary
Dr. Theodosia "Theo" Rigby has dreamed of being part of the Avatar program since she was thirteen. At twenty-three, she achieves this and finds herself on the foreign planet of Pandora, joined by the twin of her dead best friend. Theo's drawn to Jake, at first because he looks like Tommy, and then because of his personality. He's not like all the scientists she's spent so long around. But when a simple scientific mission goes wrong and her and Jake's Avatars are separated from the rest of the humans, they find themselves among the Na'vi, forced to learn their ways or be killed. Theo and Jake fall in love with the Na'vi, though, and soon, feelings start to rise between them as well. With humanity still eager to mine the unobtanium beneath Home Tree, though, Theo and Jake must decide if they can fight back against their own species, or if they must be true to who they once were.
