Summary
Jason doesn’t know if it’s because of what Dick said or if it’s because he spoke up in Bruce’s defense.
He’s never defended Bruce before in front of Dick. Not in this lifetime, obviously, and not in the one prior either.
He’s just so fucking tired. He just wants to have a family. For the people around him to get along.
In which Dick and Bruce fight, Jason surprises himself, and the past keeps on keeping on.

Summary
It’s clear that him and Jason are talking about very, very different things when talking about love. He knows that if he were a good man, he wouldn’t follow up on it.
If he were a good man he wouldn’t be having these thoughts to start with, never would have had them. He can’t even pretend that they’re some new development brought upon by Jason bulking up and growing and learning and becoming someone new. They’re not.
They’re not new and Bruce tries to be a good man, he’s tried every day and every night for years and years and years, and shouldn’t he be allowed to be selfish just this one time?

Summary
A younger Jason temporarily coming into their universe proves to be the spark that leads to Bruce and Jason reconnecting in more ways than one, while Dick is forced to confront the nature of their relationship and his continued failure to protect his little wing from their father.
Bruce Wayne is not a very good person, Dick is purposely oblivious until he can’t be and Jason, like always, just wants to be loved.

Summary
Dick never would have expected Jason to voluntarily be in his apartment. He's not complaining and he's more then happy to take advantage, even as it's seeming more and more likely that his little brother is under the influence of something.
“You-you still would if you could, right? If I couldn’t fight you and win now.”
Dick stops his gentle petting, instead grabbing just one short curl and pulling. Not as hard as he could, but getting there. “You wouldn’t win.”
He pulls it taunt and lets go, only to do it again. “But yeah. I would. I probably will.”
