Adora shrieks as she catches sight of herself in the mirror opposite the bed, her palms flying to the mattress to steady herself. Suddenly, she can tell why the room she’s in feels strangely familiar: she’s spent countless hours staring at the artwork displayed on these walls before; the grumbling cat looks exactly like the one she pretends she’s never seen on the Instagram profile that she’s definitely never lurked on in the middle of the night; and the aged leather jacket thrown over the chair in the corner used to frequently hang on the hook by her door. She rubs at her cheeks as she rushes out of bed to the mirror, searching the heterochromatic irises that are no longer both blue, and pressing her fingertips into freckles that she’s never found on her own face.

Here, at the very end of things, she will not scream.
The green buzzing, fiery thing leaves her in a type of stasis. Her feet don't touch the ground. Her arms are held out wide and away from her body. It makes her shoulders hurt. It makes everything hurt. There's a little ball of it, like a high-voltage gag, that holds her mouth open. There is spit and drool on Catra's chin and at the sides of her mouth. That scream, that one that begs to be let out, would not be heard by anyone. It would echo behind the pain shoved into her mouth, this green piece of shit that makes her tongue bleed and her gums swell.
Fuck Hordak.
Fuck Shadow Weaver.
Fuck this.

Summary
It's not the first time Catra has managed to sneak up on a training bot. However, this time she tears into it in just the right way to cause a cascade effect that blows up the central processing unit. She's seen explosions in training video clips before, but it's different seeing it from close enough to feel the heat. Her eyes are glued to the bursts of light and dancing flames.
Adora makes an excited exclamation behind her, and it takes a moment for Catra to tear her gaze away from her handiwork. Usually nothing can compete with the shine of Adora's attention.
(She already knows which mesmerizing sight is more dangerous, and it's not the one that could singe her fur if she's not careful.)

Summary
Nicholas Wilde and Judith Hopps have served in the Zootopia Police Department for almost three years now, proud but weary after aiding the city twice-over. With a new year starting soon, the two of them hope for a year of calm, and maybe a nice reward for all of their hard work. The arrival of avian visitors to their city cuts that short however, after the both of them start running into problems that quickly start growing out of hand.
All they can do is try and keep each other as well as they can, while trying to get through it.
Set after Zootopia 2.
Light romance (to be expanded on in the 2nd part), a lot of arguing, a fair amount of mystery, some trying to find comfort in something reliable.

Vi looks at the big clock on the far wall. 7:46AM. She’s one minute late today. Every morning for the past six months - well, every morning Vi’s been on shift, so she’s just assuming about the other days - she’s passed by at exactly 7:45AM, always at a brisk walk, always in a perfectly-tailored suit, not a single long, silky-looking hair out of place.
7:47AM. The crisp clack of heeled boots on concrete pulls Vi out of her musings. There must have been some sort of emergency, because the subject of Vi’s (minor) obsession walks past the fire station at a faster clip than normal. Which is sort of saying something, because Mystery Woman’s got legs for days, long and slender, visibly toned with long, lean muscle through her suit pants. At the faster clip, Vi has less time to admire her ass and tiny, tiny waist as she walks by, but that’s fine, because the view as she leaves is fantastic.
