Adora was a knight for the Order of Greyskull, founded on the principles of protection and sacrifice. It was all she'd ever known, at least, since she'd left her former orphanage in hopes of gaining a better future. Catra, on the other hand, found a different path in life, pursuing that of a circus performer in an age where entertainment is power. It had only been four years since the two of them ran away from their orphanage together, promising to reunite with each other once they both got to better places, but under unknowing circumstances, Adora's memory of their promise has been tarnished, leaving Catra with a sense of betrayal and resentment. When the rise of a mysterious new order threatens both their livelihoods, can Adora and Catra reunite to stop a new enemy before it's too late? Or will their broken bonds cast doom onto the rest of their world and beyond?

btw this is actually transfered from my wattpad account for future reference!! i've decided to keep the fic updated on here (also i haven't written anything on wattpad in like, ages 😭 will this be bad?? probably; can i improve it during later chapters??? maybe!!!!)
Anyways a brief synopsis:
Catra was done thinking about Adora ever since she moved away. Anything she'd ever felt for her had been crushed beneath her hopes and dreams, beneath her belief in anything good. She resented her...at least, that's what she thought before Adora came back. Now she doesn't know what to feel.
Adora never wanted to leave Catra behind, but that was in the past, and this was now. Surely things would go back to the way they were, she thought, that is until everything comes crumbling down. Adora wants to make things right, but is that enough to save their decaying friendship?
Perhaps there's more to their relationship than what meets the eye?
