“Stop showing off, Rozanov!” Shane shouts from the other end of the alley, swinging his seraph blade to his right. He doesn’t have to look. His swing connects with the Shax demon in a flash. Maybe he was showing off a little bit too.
“Showing off or showing you up, Hollander?” Ilya says back, all lightning reflexes and fiery wit.
Ilya takes off in a run towards him, leaping off a wall near Shane and over his head. He thrusts his blade through a Shax midair, taking it with him to the ground. Not a drop of ichor lands on Shane.
