Summary
It was hard to ignore the reality that Rin was not human.
That was an egotistical thought, a deeply, deeply selfish proclamation, but it was true nonetheless. He didn’t know many people, granted, but the ones he did were nothing like him.
What was a human? It could be a biological definition, a concrete truth of reality, but the black hole deep and large in his stomach that drained and drained and drained every emotion from his soul before it could be digested by his brain surely couldn’t be part of the typical makeup of a person.
All he knew was that his blood made him human, bleeding even more so. The way his nose pulsated and throbbed as cartilage crackled and popped within his skull, dripping hot – radiantly hot – blood from his dying heart to his lips, that made him alive. That made him so alive he could die.
OR: Rin Itoshi struggles to understand what it means to feel human.

Summary
With adrenaline coursing through his veins and noise blasting his ears, it took Isagi a second to realise Rin wasn’t getting up.
“Rin?”
Rin always got up. Even in the NEL, after breaking his nose from the force of that crash shot, he’d still been fit enough to continue – to taunt Isagi, even. He constantly leapt into the jaws of danger, challenging himself to increasingly dangerous stunts on the pitch just to satisfy the addictive destruction he’d devoted himself to. When he did injure himself, which was often, he’d always appear even more alive, eyes glinting with some perverse sense of ecstasy at the pain. He always got up. He never looked like this.
Something was very wrong.
OR: Rin and Isagi both get injured during a Champions League game.

Summary

That was the plan, at least, but their reunion arrives much sooner. When he and Isagi Yoichi cross paths again, it’s at the Wellness Studio he does yoga classes at. Without the distance of the game between them, Rin realizes how thin the line between love and hate really is.
or: Rin does yoga. Isagi takes up pottery. Things happen.

god. Oh my god.
rinsagi is the air i breathe everyday at this point and this fanfic.. can i even put into words just how adorable it was? i live and breathe all of the tropes shown in this fanfic ( isagi falling first, rin falls harder, rin oblivious to his feelings, RINS SELF HATRED SLIPPING OUT WHEN THEY KISS…) and beyond rinsagi, sae and rins relationship here :( im sick i love the itoshi brothers and how sae is portrayed in here. (and yes even his bug boyfriend)
my favorite chapter was probably when they kissed honestly. firstly, rinsagi laughing together. gods so cute. rin finally deciding to do something and the bliss that came when he kissed isagi?? first kiss and everything, the way he was so goddamn whipped for him had me circling my room as if i was the one experiencing it.

"I'm going to what?"Out go his initial plans to oil paint all summer and with Sae's force, Rin happens to take up a gardening job at the friendly Isagi household. The son, however, is a total mystery. As long as Rin does his job and doesn't get close with him, then it should be fine, right?
He never expected that upon meeting Isagi, feelings begin to swell up like a festering, raw wound. Unfortunately, whether Rin likes it or not, things start to happen between them.

Where do i even begin to explain the feelings i felt while reading this god-beautiful-fanfic??
I find it hard to get into long or even unfinished works, but this? since the beginning, the wording, the descriptions for noises, scenery, just everything in general was so beautiful. I adore the way Rin is written. His flaws, his thoughts and how purely off how well written this is, you feel what he feels. The fear of him losing Isagi, the way he feels when Sae starts an argument or even says something that would set Rin off, and god. The self-harm. The self hatred. I don’t think i could put into words just how accurate the feelings that go through one’s head when you’re like this. the relief and yet the hatred that later comes with it.
just overall, definitely one of my top favs oat i love you rinsagi more than the words in my head could ever put into a coherent sentence
