Those visits were something J went through alone, preferring to soldier through the rusty, raw emotions in private. Theia had learned to live with the sting of it, to bite back the questions that crowded her throat. It ached, but what hurt more was the helplessness. She couldn’t fix this. So she waited. She never pushed. And she certainly never asked to go.
