Summary
Nam-gyu has always struggled to see humanity in the people around him, so the three-hundred and fifty-six deaths following Mingle mean as much to him as an exterminated colony of roaches. The money accumulated from them means everything to Thanos, as leaving the games with anything less than 1.5 billion won is essentially a death sentence.
But the vote after Mingle terminates the games. With the hope of changing their lives ripped away, Thanos and Nam-gyu are forced to return to the world outside. Thanos is back to square one, with over a billion in debt towering over him, and not nearly enough winnings to cover it. Nam-gyu holds on to the one person in the world he can care about, but Thanos is slipping back to where he was before the games, stepping back toward the bridge. Haunted by the traumas of their pasts, pursued by new foes from the games, can they find enough strength in each other to win their battles?

“Cool, alright. So what would you like to order?”
Oh god, does he have to just come out and say it? Or is he supposed to talk in some kind of takeout-themed secret code? What kind of noodles translates to non-sexual cuddling? Is there even a code for something that pathetic? Subong tries to put some words together, but what comes out instead is a choked sound, horrifically not dissimilar to a death rattle.
“Dude, you sound like you’re dying,” Semi says. “Chill out. Just tell me what food you’d like.”
Is that a code word? This is so awkward. Subong stutters out, “Like. Food food, or…?”
“Yes, food food,” Semi chuckles. “This is a Chinese restaurant. Typically we send food in our deliveries.”

Doing, doing, doing – no thinking. More questions: where was he staying now? Did he need anything? And again, was he well?
He could laugh just recalling it. Rotates the words in his head until they hardly even make sense anymore, the sentiment of Su-bong and doing well never quite sticking together. Feels the way the words warp and wind and weave their way into every beyond fucked up part of the last few months – the months that clump together in this strange and unspecified period of after – and shakes his head, because, really, what the hell is he supposed to say to that? Is he well?

Summary
Thanos wouldn't exactly classify himself as a good person. There are a few too many people he's screwed over a few too many times for the words to leave his mouth confidently. That being said, there is a select group of people that he can say with 50% confidence—on a really good day— that he would not throw in front of a moving vehicle for a vape charger if he were drunk.
But hey, that's what they're getting themselves into when they decide to be part of the Thanos World. And it's not like they aren't using him, too. For drugs, exclusivity, sex, whatever, it's all transactional at the end of the day, and he doesn't play with that messy relationship shit anyway, so it's all good with him.
That being said, he sort of is in the middle of that messy relationship shit all because he got himself a fucking fanboy.

All coherent thoughts that came to his mind were replaced with Omg spank bank is gonna be STOCKED.
“Why not?” he heard himself say, in some sort of an out-of-body experience. “I have nowhere to be.”
OR: rap arena's underdog thanos is recording his new album, and what he really needs is a badass sample. luckily, his best friend is glad to provide.

"Yeah, he supplied him with drugs, but that was it. Nam-gyu was all too aware Thanos could not give less of a shit if he lived or died. The thought tugs a bit at his heartstrings, but Nam-gyu knows the truth behind the statement no matter his feelings on it. The bastard couldn’t even remember his fucking name, for God’s sake, no matter how many times he corrected him. It just felt like a cruel joke at this point, just another way to get Nam-gyu begging for any inkling of attention Thanos was willing to spare him.
And, fuck, did it work. Nam-gyu would be an idiot to even try to deny it. Thanos had him like a dog on a leash, punished with a sharp tug on his collar and rewarded with a pat on the head, both actions just making him come back for more and more. It was desperate. Pathetic. But Nam-gyu couldn’t help himself, he wanted to be everything Thanos wanted him to be, even if that was his fucking dog. His good boy."
