Kai looks at the tumbler hanging by the grip of his fingertip, disappointed at the emptiness that greets him. God, he’s so tired.
Or, Huening Kai is one of Seoul's richest men under thirty. He runs a conglomerate business with his best friend, and he has a good relationship with his little sister. His apartment is his dream home, his life seems to be the dream life.
Except for the fact that Kai is maybe a little bit miserable and exhausted.

Yeonjun was a seasoned veteran at burying his feelings (and urges) for his best friend. He’d done it ever since he could remember being friends with the other, throughout every moment of their shared history. One could argue that at times, his attempts at hiding it had been pretty poor (which would be correct), but he had kept it hidden for almost twenty years, after all.
Now, though, after tearfully and dramatically confessing his feelings and finding that they were very much returned by Soobin, he wasn’t sure how to proceed.
He’d sort of expected to be dragged to Soobin’s room after their talk, that they’d skip breakfast and get out all of their tension that had accumulated throughout the years of their friendship. If not then, surely later. But it hadn’t happened, and Yeonjun was at a loss.
In fact, nothing had happened since their dry rehearsal in front of Beomgyu, other than a couple of heated makeout sessions. Now, almost two months into their relationship, it was starting to fuck with Yeonjun’s head.

Beomgyu kept showing up in his life. Strangely, the boy never asked for Kai’s number. In fact, Kai had never even seen a phone on him. Every time they met, it was at the skateboard rink. Then Kai would leave and Beomgyu would linger, no matter how late it was. It was strange.
Kai considered sticking to skateboarding around his neighborhood to avoid Beomgyu, but something always drew him back to the rink. Always drew him back to Beomgyu.
“Why are you always here?” Kai asked him one day.
“‘Cause I like skateboarding,” Beomgyu said.
“But you’re always here.”
Beomgyu smiled at him, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “I’m a lonely boy,” he said. “What else does a lonely boy have to do?”
Kai made a mental note to treat Beomgyu a lot better from that point on.
