Okay look, no matter what the haters might tell you, it wasn’t Ezreal’s idea to get into this business. If you could call it a business, anyways. That responsibility fell onto his best friends and often worst influences, Lux and Seraphine. They’re the ones that started it, they’re the ones who told him about it, and they’re the ones who insisted he’d be good at it.
Was it his dream job? Absolutely not. Not in a million years. Not even close.
But did it pay the bills with minimal effort?....Somehow, yeah. And for a university student like Ezreal with tuition to pay and hobbies to fund? Well, that was more than enough to sacrifice a little bit of his dignity for.
...If you’re being really generous about it, you could almost call him a streamer. That’s the job he eventually actually wants. Yeah. In a way, you could call this gig a semi-professional streamer for one. At least that spares him the embarrassment of having to explain the ‘rent a Discord kitten’ job listing he’d applied for on a whim now more than four months ago.
Or, Ezreal is a Discord kitten/aspiring streamer who gets stuck playing League with the one guy who refuses to play along.

Ezreal hadn’t thought much of the car that almost hit him on his way to work. Or the brick that fell out of the window on the seventh floor while making way to his apartment. Or the guy at the coffee shop that Ezreal was only now realizing had been trying to rob him.
Look, weird things happen every day and Ezreal has fantastic reflexes, not so fantastic spatial awareness, and a memory that tends to prioritize memorizing cool fun facts about history rather than the several near death experiences he’s had in the last forty-eight hours.
Besides, life is too short to not roll with the punches. Even if said punches is standing over him with a scary ass looking scythe claiming to be The Grim Reaper.
So you know how Soulhunter Kayn has like no real lore? Yeah. He's a grim reaper now.
