Summary
But now, obviously, House couldn’t sleep. Ignoring the whole work thing (Wilson was sick enough he could call both of them off; it was fine), Wilson was currently taking up space in House’s bed, and House wasn't exactly keen on taking his snooze on the couch. It was his apartment, after all; usually, only guests (which almost never consisted of anyone but Wilson) got the couch. It was just that Wilson had abused his pathetic, I-collapsed-in-your-apartment charm to get a spot on the mattress.
He leaned against the doorframe, let his eyes lounge on Wilson’s sleeping form, and grumbled uselessly to himself at the unfairness of these circumstances.

Summary
“You didn’t show up to work. You never skip work.” Greg was taking a step forward now, his soles moving from the edge of James’ front step to the middle of it.
Immediately, James took a step back in retaliation, only to find himself momentarily losing his balance. Unbeknownst to him, he had been leaning against the doorway; he must have been imitating Greg, because in his newly upright position, Greg stared at him from an angle. He blinked feverishly through the dizziness. “Don’t get too close.”

Summary
It was peaceful, really; the heat of the sun nipped at their skin, the colors of the evening washing over their forms, and Rick was smoking another cig, the smog that left his mouth the only cloud in sight. Scout hated cigarettes, hated the way they made an impossibly dry mouth drier, coated his throat in dust just as his feet kicked it up, lungs he needed to keep his job dying from their smoke, but he couldn’t bring himself to care in that moment. If Rick offered him another one, he’d take it, because a person like him was never hard to persuade into a smoke or two— but that didn’t mean he liked them. He wasn’t like Spy, Sniper, or Engineer; he didn’t have the indulgences they did. He didn’t rot his teeth or his lungs or his throat, no. There was a rot in his blood, buried deep within the skin on his arms and legs, gnawing at his brain; a slow, sluggish decay of the bone. An addiction, Medic might tell him if he bothered to ask. But he wasn’t an addict. He could stop any time he wanted. He just didn’t want to.

Summary
Pyro had this odd, almost uncanny cat clock in their room, the kind that had those swiveling eyes and pendulum-swinging tails. Scout had never exactly liked it, but it wasn’t his room, so he never let himself make a fuss about it. But now, when was he spread out on the cold linoleum flooring of the other mercenary's room, the only sounds to distract him from his ailments being the quiet bubbling of boiling water, the drone of the ceiling fan, and the repetitive clacks of plastic striking plastic? He couldn’t tell whether he was relieved by the clock or driven mad by it.
~
Scout, deep in a heroin addiction ripping him apart at the seams, goes to Pyro for some assistance.

It’s Been A Long, Hard, Twenty-Year Summer Vacation. by disc0_volante
Fandom Team Fortress 2

Summary
The year is 1974; around a year after the events of the Team Fortress 2 comics. The Administrator, Redmond, and Blutarch are all dead, instead replaced by a board of directors who seem to only wage this war for personal entertainment, and through a hidden clause in the MANN CO. Challenge, Saxton Hale is back to being the companies owner. All of the RED and BLU mercenaries have been rehired, and really, everything has been returned to the status quo.

Summary
“House, you okay?”
Of course he’s okay, he’s not the one dying, and as a matter of fact, right now, neither is Wilson. Wilson just has a stupid cold and decides to make it everyone else’s problem by having a coughing fit in the middle of the night and making House think he’s actively, acutely dying.
“House,” Wilson says, right next to his ear now. House startles – he hadn’t even heard him get out of bed. “House, listen to me. I think you’re having a panic attack. You need to breathe slowly and steadily.”
That’s ridiculous, House wants to say, but he can’t, because he’s suddenly very aware of how he can barely get enough air to breathe, let alone speak.
Wilson's fight with cancer affects House more than he cares to admit.

Summary
Wilson takes his mood levelers. He takes his antidepressants. He has has good days and he has great days and fine days and okay days. He has bad days. He has abhorrent days. Some days he’d like to curl up in House’s arms and be talked off the edge. But he can’t ask for that. He has no reason to be on the edge in the first place.
