Summary
Two hundred years ago, a dark mage named the Red Merlin cast a curse on the Middle Kingdom: that every crown prince born to the royal family would die at the age of twenty one. Protected by another Merlin's sacrifice, for two hundred years, the royal family has had only daughters. Until the middle of one fateful night.
When the protective spell finally runs out, the royal family is left with only this: a Crown Prince, doomed to die, a legend, and an enchanted sword in a stone.

“I’m making coffee, if you want it." Steve said. "I thought we could finish Hill House today, or you could try that photo project you were talking about.”
A long pause and then a sigh was his answer from the lump in the bed. “I dunno, Stevie. Don’t wait on me.” Don’t wait on me in Bucky-speak meant several things, but when said from under a duvet at mid-morning, it meant roughly, I am too triggered to get out of bed today.

Summary
“Seems fucked up,” Natasha snorts. He hears her rustling on the other end and he knows that she, too, is struggling with her guilt. “To be left behind and feel guilty about it.”
Steve laughs lowly, but it’s a sad, desperate, wrinkled thing. He passes a hand over his face.
“What do we do, Nat?” he asks. “Where do we go from here?”
There’s a silence so long he thinks Natasha’s finally fallen asleep. Then, the sound of rustling, again.
“Forward, Steve,” she says, quietly. “We go forward.”
or;
Steve learns to heal, stays, and goes back for the ones he loves.
