Summary
Wemmbu stayed kneeling at the base of the steps, blood trickling against his chin, breath shallow in his chest, as he stared at the black ink crossing through Highwater’s name while Steampunk City waited untouched beside it. His head swam with the thought of another sky, another crowd of people looking up at him with terror.
Somewhere far away, Egg was still alive. That was the chain around his throat.
And everyone in the room knew it.
Or, a dramatized (and semi-realistic), tax duo centric, canon divergent fic about the recent Civil War arc! :)

Summary
You came back to Playtime Co. for the children. You didn’t expect the Prototype. You didn’t expect to be caught between him and Poppy, running two agendas and losing track of which one was yours. And you didn’t expect to remember him — or for him to be worth remembering. Something far worse is still waiting in the dark.

Summary
Before the joy. It was HELL.
After the silence. It was still HELL.
And the ending no one was supposed to get. Maybe the ones above had pity after all?
When Elliot Ludwig died, the experiments were meant to end. So why didn’t they?
Ten years after the Hour of Joy, what’s left of Playtime Co. still lingers in the dark—along with the things it created. But how much of them is still… human?
And somewhere beyond all of it, there’s a future where the children live. Where someone chooses to save them. Where, for the first time, they have somewhere to belong.
Not all stories get a happy ending.
This one might.· · ─ ·✶· ─ · ·
