Summary
Sasuke wakes in a hospital bed, pain throbbing in what feels like every cell in his body.
He keeps his eyes closed, a sound entirely too pitiful escaping him as he shifts experimentally. His left side feels noticeably lighter, the ache concentrated at the now healing stump. He blinks his eyes open slowly, letting light seep in. The room is sterile, even for a hospital, nothing but the bed and a few machines and a chair.
A chair that is occupied by someone he’d never thought he’d be in the same room with again, not without one of them dead.
