    Sam turns it over in his head for a long moment. Swallows hard. Rubs his palms across his thighs.

    “Okay,” he says, looking away. “Do you believe in ghosts, man?”

    Bucky laughs, the asshole.

    Sam has been haunted all his life. This is the first time he's ever thought of telling anyone about it.

His third in a secluded rural area, desperate to get away from urbanisation in the 19th century. Thanks to disrupting Martyn's spell, Grian was now living out a fourth life in the 21st century. As well as rapid evolving and technology that Grian simply cannot grasp, Martyn keeps insisting that he's got a surprise for Grian. Which can only mean a recipe for petty disaster.
