“Fuck yeah!“ Chris Pfefferkorn yells, thumping him on the back, “That is what I am talking about!“
Tim grins at him, letting himself be infected by the dudes excitement. The guy has that effect on people, it’s part of why Tim decided to take him up on his invitation to this party. Chris was friends with pretty much everyone, and practically lit up when Tim actually said yes to coming with him tonight.
“Okay,“ Chris says, slinging his arm around Tim’s shoulders, “How do you feel about beer pong?“

Summary
Tim sits on the curb, the grit from the sidewalk digging into his palm. He doesn’t mind though, it’s keeping him grounded. He cradles his left arm in his lap, trying to ignore the uncomfortable numbness.
He would have given anything to be out of Gotham right now, even if 10 year old Tim would’ve cringed at the very thought. Gotham city was his safe haven, where he went to feel the most like himself. Now, he just wanted to go home. He didn’t mean Drake Manor, a place that had always felt too cold to be a home. No, he wanted to go home. He wanted Alfred to make him hot chocolate, Dick to hold him while Jason squished them both, for Bruce to try and sneakily take pictures of them while they all watched a movie. Instead, he was sitting on the disgusting Gotham ground, probably getting some type of airborne tetanus, trying to come up with a plan.
It was hard though, when his arm was noticeably numb until he moved it, and the wind kept making his split lip sting.

He knows he’s supposed to call Bruce when he feels this way, when he feels this bad, but B had specifically sent him to the tower to get rid of him for a bit while he deals with the Red Hood. Okay, so not to get rid of him, but to keep him safe. Whatever, practically the same thing. Bruce was probably just looking for an excuse to get rid of him that didn’t make him seem like a bad guy.

If you asked any of the Wayne children what they thought of galas you would hear varying answers that all boiled down to, “Don’t like ‘em.” Jason was no exception. In fact, besides Dick, he probably hated them the most out of any of the other kids. It made sense, he got the most shit from the old fucks who frequented these parties. He was pretty sure the main reason Dick was okay with him being adopted was because it took some of the heat off his back.
The kids go to a gala a few months after the Incident. It just gives them another reason to not like galas.
