“Another new guy?” Buck asks, rolling his eyes, “What nightmare have you got for us this time, hmm? They’re already late to the briefing, so it’s not exactly a great start.”
“Actually,” comes a voice from behind them, making Buck startle, “I got here yesterday morning, already been briefed.”
He’s the kind of Hollywood handsome that people generally aren’t in real life, all warm tanned skin and big brown eyes, and a perfectly coiffed sweep of dark brown hair. He’s walking down the main staircase from the floor above, and somehow it looks like a scene from a movie. It honestly makes Buck feel a little sick. Who the fuck does he think he is?

An Inception AU, or, the 118 are a dreamsharing team, and Buck's not convinced they need a new pointman, let alone this guy. Despite himself, they end up real close.

Summary
Buck’s not really sure what to say here, so he doesn’t say anything. For a minute they stand there in total silence, the TV muted, and looking at Eddie – the defeated slump of his shoulders, the hand over his mouth, the eyes staring blankly at nothing – it’s like those modern art installations one of Buck’s exes used to take him to: Man, with broken heart.
Man, eviscerated.
Buck’s no good with people being sad around him – it always feels like his responsibility, like if they aren’t smiling it’s his fault, and this time it really is his fault, at least partially, so he offers, “You can beat me up, if it would make you feel better.”

"No, I'm serious!" Buck sets his beer down, the better to gesture with both hands, face lighting up, and Eddie just—he really loves the guy, okay. Ridiculous as he is. "It would be so much easier! You wouldn't have to introduce a new person to Chris—he already likes me anyway—and you could tell Pepa so she'll stop setting you up on dates that don't go anywhere—"
"And what would you get out of this?" Eddie asks, grinning.

Summary
Like he’s been electrocuted, the ghost jolts backwards and his hand spasms in the air, like he wanted to reach out to Evan. Evan holds his polar bear teddy bear closer to his chest, the one that Maddie got for him at their school’s book fair, and waits.
The ghost waits, too.
Evan’s never been the most patient kid, though. “Are you lost?” Evan sits back, and the ghost starts to glisten, shimmering at the edges and looks close to disappearing from sight. “Are you going to keep coming back?” When Evan doesn’t get any response, sees nothing from the ghost to show he heard him, he asks one more question.
“Will you be my friend?”
And then he’s gone.
The window is still cracked open, and he still feels the breeze twist in his hair.

Summary
Buck dreams of an invisible boy.
It’s a dream he’s had all his life, always the same. A well lit room, pale whites and blues, a window open with a fresh breeze, and a boy in a bed with a smile on his face and sunlight streaming right through him. His hand is in the air like he’s reaching towards something, and Buck can see through it to the leaves on the tree outside. He realizes that the something he’s reaching towards is Buck himself, and he tries to reach back, but their hands never touch before he wakes.
Buck opens his eyes in the dark of the bunk room, station alarm going off overhead, and rolls out of bed.

Eddie Diaz wants nothing to do with the paranormal. He would be perfectly happy if the spirits of the world stopped showing themselves altogether, actually. But when Adriana and Sophia come to town to film on location for their popular YouTube ghost hunting channel and the ghosts in Eddie's life start becoming much more loud and frequent, he gets roped into figuring out just why things in the Los Angeles spiritual world are changing, and not for the better. The children are crying, and Eddie might be the only one who can hear them.
A, hopefully, spooky story featuring a reluctant psychic, sibling bonds, quite a bit of paranormal activity, a blossoming romantic relationship, and a mystery that's begging to be solved.

Summary
Even's ready to spend a chill senior year enjoying his last year of high school before graduation. But first he'll need to pass Chemistry, a class he's so spectacularly bad at that it’d take a miracle. What's more, he's landed the notorious Isak Valtersen as a lab partner. What little is known about Isak comes from largely outlandish and unfavorable rumors: whispers have ranged from him being a ruthless heartbreaker to his rumored participation in underground fight clubs.
But the boy sitting beside him every 3rd period period seems far from the rumors, and Even’s fascinated. Isak wears his hood up indoors. He doesn’t talk much. He scowls more than he smiles. And for someone who sleeps through every class, he aces every exam. Even just so happens to desperately need a Chem tutor, but he wants to be Isak’s friend more, and he’s happy to use as many terrible chemistry puns as it’ll take to get there.
Throw in a class president election that Even somehow finds himself running for, an actual underground fight club, and the fact that their lab experimentation isn’t the only chemistry happening between him and his lab partner, and somehow—Even finds his senior year turning out a little less chill than expected.
