Summary
Harry had been planning to spend the summer after fifth year with Sirius. He'd completed his animagus transformation just for this purpose. But now Sirius is dead and Dumbledore has Harry more isolated than ever. In a desperate bid to survive the summer, Harry goes through with their plan...with some modifications. He can't go to the vacation home Sirius planned to take them to, but he can spend the summer safely tucked away in the wilderness as a snake.
But when Voldemort himself finds Harry while on a stroll, Harry's whole life will change. Harry's never had someone tend to his wounds or ensure he has a warm, safe place to sleep. But this is Voldemort, surely, if Harry wasn't a random snake, he'd be dead in an instant. Voldemort isn't stupid. He knows something is different about this little snakelet he's found. It doesn't take long to put together the pieces. But if he has Harry Potter - an injured, scared, grieving Harry Potter, at that - in his possession, then why isn't the wizarding world in a panic? Why isn't Dumbledore taking care of his savior? And what will it take to get Harry on his side?

Summary
The mentorship program at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a longstanding tradition that pairs first-year students with volunteers from the upper years. When Harry Potter is paired with Cedric Diggory he finds someone he can call a friend, someone who cares about him in a way no one has before. Cedric quickly realizes something is wrong with Harry's home life, but it takes years for him to get confirmation that Harry is being abused. When that confirmation comes, Cedric and his boyfriend Tom quickly hatch a plan to keep Harry safe, and with them, until he graduates.
