In hindsight, Taehyun should’ve known it would all go wrong that day. It was a Thursday, which wasn’t inherently suspicious, but his bus was late that day– his bus was never late. He’d timed his commute perfectly so that he arrived three minutes before the train pulled out of the station, so he was late to school that day– Taehyun was never late.
He was fourteen pages into Pride and Prejudice for his advanced English class when he heard a rustle in the branches. He looked up; a pair of bulging eyes stared back. Taehyun started slightly, and what appeared to be a deformed head peeked around the trunk of the tree several feet above him. The creature had lumpy, blueish skin, the color of a day-old bruise, and spindly limbs like a frog’s that supported a squishy, round body. It squawked at him through a long, wide mouth with disturbingly human-like teeth, and Taehyun gulped.It’s nothing, he thought to himself. There’s nothing there.

“It’s 2 A.M.,” Derek says. “What are you doing here?”
Stiles turns to him with raised eyebrows. “We haven’t finished Harry Potter,” he says, as if it’s obvious, and Derek just stares at him. “I mean, if you don’t want to know what happens with Fluffy and the dragon, fine. But I personally think that the plot only gets better from here."
(In which Derek and Stiles are both broken, but it takes a few paperback novels for them to realize that it makes them fit together just right.
A post-3B Canon Divergence, based on comment that said someone needs to sit Derek down on a couch and read him a nice book.)

When Sirius Black escaped Azkaban, Ianthe Potter had no idea how much it would change her life. Her godfather was unwilling to leave her in the control of Dumbledore or at the mercy of the Ministry or the fickle public. It shouldn't have been surprise that a Marauder would blackmail his way into a court appearance. Or get all up in Dumbledore's business. Or bring the wrath of the Wizard's Council and the ICW on the Ministry.
It was definitely a surprise when, six years later, Sirius Black died killing Tom Riddle, called Voldemort.
Ianthe has never been on the simply lay down and accept a wrong; to bow her head to circumstance. What was a little thing like changing history to Lady Ianthe Potter, the daughter and goddaughter of Marauders?
Changing the past is surprisingly easy. Living it might just be harder. Especially when the lives she changed to save the future collide with the one she now lives, thirty years in the past.
Ianthe Potter no longer exists, but Ophelia Manus does. Her past is gone, lost to a future that will never - please, Magic - come to pass. But she has a future in this new past - and, if Orion Black has anything to say about it, she might just have someone to share it with.

Summary
The hairs on the back of Stiles’ neck tingle, and he swallows hard against the unmistakable sensation of someone staring at him. He’s tempted to just ignore it, but after a few seconds, his curiosity wins out and he looks up from his phone instead. He doesn’t notice anything right away, flicking his gaze along the people on the other side of the intersection until he suddenly stops and backtracks. It’s a little hard to see, what with the thick drizzle and the cars whizzing between them, but he would recognize that glorious bearded face anywhere, even after six years. Holy shit.
