Summary
Jane Shepard; the Hero of the Blitz and the Butcher of Torfan. Left with nothing after being dishonourably discharged from the Alliance, and given everything by Aria T'Loak when she drifted into Omega. Slightly unhinged and totally uncontrollable, the ex Alliance soldier takes merc contracts when she feels like it and runs a booming fight club on her off days. There are hundreds of batarians with grudges to fight, and she is determined to fight them all.
Garrus Vakarian; sick of his life and sick of the restrictions and always being told no at C-Sec, leaves in pursuit of Doctor Saleon. His search takes him to Omega, where he realises that the station is in dire need of help. He builds a vigilante squad to help wipe out crime, but in the end, it is he who needs help.
An AU where Shepard's back story happened, but the reapers never did.
Eventual smut.

Summary
She had been meant to die that day - her crew was supposed to be safe when they left Earth. When Shepard ordered the crew of the Normandy to abandon her in London, she had no idea that she was sending them to their deaths.
Seven years after the Reaper War, the galaxy is finally starting to function as a whole again. The final mass relay has been reconstructed and is fully functional. Shepard is left to deal with her survivor's guilt, knowing that her decisions are what has caused her dearest friends to be missing since that fateful day in London. One day, an emergency Council meeting is held, and Shepard receives word that her crew may just be alive after all.

ME 1, 2 and 3 Youtube videos under the username Recidiva Quixotic with a play through for Morim and Garrus. I grabbed every bit of Garrus dialogue that wasn't drowned out by gunfire or Reaper noises. I was wholly unsatisfied with the end of ME3 and what the Catalyst turned out to be, so I decided to write an ending that made some actual sense in the grand scheme and canon of the first two games, and provided a jumping-off point for future stories. This story ignores the Extended Cut and Leviathan DLCs, gets rid of the Starchild entirely, and goes with something that hopefully ties in a bit more closely with ME1 and ME2.
