Louis didn’t know what surprised him the most; the sharp tone Harry was using or the fact that he had talked to him. Regardless, he found himself blinking at the alpha. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me,” Harry muttered, narrowing his cold, green eyes at him.
Louis remained calm as he studied the alpha’s features. “Harry, is it? Nice to meet you. I’m Louis,” he said, sticking his hand out. He was positive Harry wouldn’t take it, but he wouldn’t come off as weak only because this was the most powerful alpha in town.
Harry sent him an unimpressed look while eyeing Louis’ hand. “I know who you are,” he drawled, furrowing his brow. “Tell me what you were thinking when you decided to come here.”
His words made Louis scoff. “I always knew you were an arse.”

Harry and Louis are soulmates, once they touch skin on skin for the first time, then they cand feel each other’s touch and feelings that are intense (like being aroused or hurt). But for most of the book they are enemies because their families are in rival gangs (there are few details about the gangs). Louis tries to fight his connection with Harry and makes H think he still hates him. They are enemies with benefits for most of the book, until Louis accepts he loves H. They broke up for a while and it was saaaaad. Cried a bit through the book and felt the angst, but not for the whole book, only from time to time. The smut was hooot and their sexual connection was on point.

The familiar voice immediately gets Louis’ blood boiling, shoulders tensing as he calmly spins around, trying not to draw any suspicion to the pair.
“You don’t know me at all,” Louis spits, managing to maintain the polite smile he’s been wearing all evening. “You’re just some asshole who always ruins my nights.”
“If I keep ruining your nights, why do you keep going home with me?” Harry asks, taking a sip from his own wine glass.
“I don’t go home with you by any choice of my own,” Louis says. “I think you’re annoying and I have no idea how I keep ending up in your bed.”
“You end up in my bed because you knock on my apartment door at two in the morning.”
Louis wants to punch the smirk right off of his face. “Maybe you should move,” is what he says instead.

Summary

Summary
To sum it all up - Louis is beautiful. Breathtakingly so. And Harry can’t find it in himself to even question the fact that he thinks so. Louis is mesmerising, nearly magnetic with all the energy bouncing off of him. Harry doesn’t know what to make of it, but he knows he doesn’t want this night to end.
This is the extraordinarily ordinary AU where Harry falls in love for the first time and Louis learns how to fall in love all over again.

Established H/L, everything else develops. THERE IS A LOT OF POLYAMORY. This is, at heart, an OT5 fic with some pairings more focused on than others. It's a little angsty but it is mostly just people being happy about being in love Basically written as an antidote/supplement to all those OT5 fics with lots of porn but no examination of the feelings involved.
