Summary
People were standing still, seemingly in shock. They held their phones with shaky hands, filming whatever was happening at the center of the circle. Her spider-sense began to tick even louder. She heard murmurs from the crowd gathered around as she pushed her way towards the front of the crowd.
“Can’t believe it”
“Thought he was different”
“So… brutal”When she saw it, she too paused in shock, but for a different reason than everyone else.
“What the hell??” she thought.
Spiderman was fighting a random guy. Fighting was the wrong word; it was more of an inhuman beating of the man. His arm moved with almost surgical precision, making contact with the man’s body again and again with enough power to break bones.
That wasn’t what had made her pause. She'd seen plenty of terrible fights during her time fighting as a vigilante. She’s seen some of the worst that humanity could do to itself. What had made her pause was that she knew that whoever was behind that mask was not Spiderman.
She knew because she was Spiderman.

Summary
AU where Tony lived. He lived, but somehow everyone still forgot who Peter Parker was. Tony felt a gap in his memory for years. He felt like there was something there that was erased and the eraser shavings weren’t brushed off the page yet. He figured if he closed his eyes and thought hard enough, he could will something back to his memory. He lived in a constant state of déjà vu and second-guessing.
Tony was in Manhattan for work. Which just so happened to be the same time that Jean Grey locked everyone in place. Some people were haunted by a single memory, while Tony saw every memory he'd ever had with Peter.

He was gonna do good in school (not that he wasn't already), he wasn't gonna be a social embarrassment, he was gonna keep improving his Spider-Man persona, and take his future so seriously it'll make his dead parents so proud of him! He was going to be his best self no matter what the evil universe had to thrown at him.
Unfortunately for him, the world as he knew it seemed to collapse in front of his eyes. Sucked up into the void, he gets spat back out in a new one: Gotham.
