Grief works in unpredictable ways.
That's what Marinette keeps telling herself, sitting on the edge of Adrien's bed, watching his eyes pore over that dreaded letter. She came here tonight prepared for… well, any number of things. Anger, maybe, that she hid this for so long. Despair from a world turned topsy-turvy once more. Even disbelief, questions she'd have to answer and make each nail in the coffin more painful than the last.
But it's been well over twenty minutes since she wiped away her tears and presented that damning envelope. She gets needing the time to take it in, she really does. But surely he would've said something by now?
Marinette tells Adrien the truth about his father.
Set immediately following Sadnansi, (probably) canon divergent as of Queen of the Dreadzone. -

going positively feral over this fic, such EXCELLENT portrayals of Brain and Skuld. The social-political landscape of Scala is so immersive and so so captivating to read, and all the original characters introduced make the world feel so incredibly ALIVE. If you like excellent character development, stellar pacing and scene direction, incredible emotional pathos, and keyblade paintball, absolutely give this a read!!

You think you were doing a pretty good attempt at a peaceful life, at least until you end up joining a bunch of dudes to defeat another dude, all while solving your Dark and Tragic Past. What a pain.
This isn’t much easier when the universe has reached its ██th rotation - with a certain someone too aware of it all.At least you can try and make friends along the way!
Or: Gender Neutral Reader-insert, Increasingly Canon-Diverging - Eventual Romance, but mostly Power of Friendship. Being part of three losers that has never had friends has got to have its perks. Probably okay if you haven’t played 7th Stand User.

incredible pacing, character development, fight choreography, the absolute works. the protag is a delightful little shit and the bonds they cultivate with the rest of the crusaders is some of the best character writing i've seen from jojo's media as a whole—both canon AND fanon. between the deftly wielded humor, the new spins on fights old and new, and the mastery of the dialogue, this fic is one of the few i've seen to really GET what jojo's is all about. if you want a fresh shake up of SDC and/or you're looking for 7SU content—hell, if you just plain liked SDC, don't pass this one up. seriously, it's a must read
