Summary
“There exists religions, Will,” Hannibal begins slowly, voice rougher than Will has ever heard it, “That believe lust is the root of all evil… And is worse than murder.”
Will closes his eyes, exhaling slow and quiet as Hannibal traces his fingers up the length of his sternum, tentatively measuring him up. Will shivers despite the warmth of the room, wetting his lips.
“If that were true… And you were given the opportunity… Would you still pray at my altar? Rejoice in your evil roots?”

Summary
When they crash into the water he believes it’s over. He followed his final impulse to do the right thing by his friends, his family, the world. The last flutters of morality within him had guided him, even as he looked into the eyes of a murderer who had somehow compelled his fall from grace. Here, in the frigid deep waters, their chapter is closed and their story is concluded. Except it isn’t. This is just the beginning.

As soon as Dr. Lecter is seated, Will says, “So they hired you to work on my profile?”
Jack holds back a sigh. This won't do. They have not started working yet and Will is already acting up. Jack opens his mouth to speak, but Dr. Lecter beats him to it. “So it seems.”
Will snorts. “Well, this is gonna be fun."
Everyone knows that Will and Hannibal are married. Not everyone knows that they are married to each other.
