Summary
Sapnap clicks his tongue. “What are you going to do?”
George considers this, for a moment.
He doesn’t want to go to the wedding. In an attempt for any excuse—any possible reason to say no other than because of his own heart—George checked his calendar instantly after reading the entirety of the card, but it was futile. He was free the day of Dream’s wedding, and the weekend trip he’d have to take would be more than encouraged by his boss. And now he has to ask himself: will he go to the wedding, or claim to be unavailable, even if he isn’t?
Will he go to the wedding and see Dream for the first time in five years, and watch him get married?
“What can I do?” George asks. Sapnap sucks in a breath.
“Tell him the truth.”
George doesn’t think he understood the nature of Sapnap’s initial question.
“What?”

“I don’t understand,” Dream repeats. “You have to tell me what’s wrong, George. What- I mean- did I do something?”
George doesn’t know how to say it.
He doesn’t know how to explain to Dream that he’s mad at him because of something that isn’t his fault—doesn’t know how to tell Dream that he’s more mad at himself than anything.
George doesn't hear Dream get closer, only noticing the blond is behind him when a careful hand reaches forward to touch his shoulder. He flinches at the touch, turning hastily while taking a step backwards. Dream frowns.
“You have to talk to me,” he tries. “You have to talk to me.”
George shakes his head. He opens his mouth for the first time. “It’s nothing,” he says. “It’s really nothing.”
“Then why are we out here?”

Summary
George shakes his head, eyes squinted with how wide he’s smiling. “You are such an idiot. Where’s your tie?”
Dream pulls it out of his pocket with a defeated sigh. “I couldn’t do it right.”
George chews his lower lip for a moment before taking it, arms lifting to reach around Dream’s neck. He wraps the tie around Dream’s collar and tucks the material under itself. Dream can only stare at the barely-there freckles littered across George’s nose with a soft smile.
George beams when he’s finished, patting Dream’s chest. “There. Now you look even better.”
Or, Dream sets out to do something special for his six month anniversary with George.

“Get off,” she huffs, shoving him. He pulls out quickly leaning back with a groan. “I can’t believe you just called me dude.”
Dream shakes his head as he yanks the condom off. “Fucking idiot,” he says solemnly, eyes still locked onto his dick.
“Excuse me?” She gasps, sitting up. She pulls her bra straps back up. “Don’t talk to me like that!”
“No!” Dream rushes, panicked. “Not you, my dick!”
“Your dick?”
“Yeah! I’m talking to my dick, not you.”
Her eyes are wide, staring at him like he’s insane.
Honestly, he’s beginning to feel a little insane.
Or, after making out with George at a party, Dream finds himself struggling with getting hard whenever he's trying to hook up with literally anyone else.

Sapnap had whined when he first told the younger he detested the idea of going, even with a group of friends. He had claimed that George was "missing out on a grand high school experience", but George was content with staying home that night, sitting at his desk playing mindlessly on Minecraft, or sitting on his bed to play, or even just sleeping.
Anything but going to the dance.
“He just doesn’t want to go because Dream isn’t asking him,” Quackity hummed, and George froze where he was sitting, mid-chew. Sapnap burst into laughter, doubling over.
“Oh my god! What? Why didn’t I know about this?”

“Will you?” Dream asks. He tries to make it sound sarcastic, but he fails miserably, and the words tumble out too fast, too genuine.
“Yeah. Why not?” George answers with a shrug. “I’m straight so it’s not like I’ll catch feelings, and neither will you because I’ll castrate you if you fall in love with me and ruin our friendship.”

What??
Dream was leaning in, and he braced a hand on the side of George’s neck, and didn’t he know it was a joke? George tried to lean away, but the back of his head hit his chair. He couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe, and Dream was looking at him, like holy fuck, like he was gearing up for something catastrophic.
George’s thoughts wheeled dizzily through his mind. We’re in front of 100 thousand people, Dream. What the hell are you doing?
On a lazy Geoguessr stream, George decides to mess with the viewers. What happens when Dream doesn’t seem to realize it’s a joke?

George stops talking and listens closely, and it’s soon after that he hears it; pitter-pattering echoing from his walls quietly, a spontaneous and scattered sound.
“Yeah. What is that? Is there like a rat in the walls or something?”
Dream laughs loudly. “No, you idiot. That’s unlikely. It’s probably just the air conditioning.”
George moves in and meets Dream for the first time, and along with rats in his walls, the difference between their old discord calls and his new life won’t let him sleep.
