It’s cold. Their wedding ring, on his fourth finger on his left hand. It’s cold when he sees Yeonjun’s hand and his ring finger is empty.
“I don’t know,” Yeonjun whispers quietly, like he’s cautious. Unsure. “A little scared, I think.”
“Why?”
“Well, I don’t actually... know you.”
Soobin laughs, despite the reality. It’s funny when he thinks about it hard enough. This is the man he married a year ago, fell in love with years before, but he doesn’t remember.

“Have you ever heard about the origami hearts tradition in the hospital?”
Taking the heart, the child excitedly inspected it, nodding in glee. “Yes! My mama told me that when someone leaves the hospital to go to heaven, we all fold a paper heart for them! Like this, like this!”
“That’s right,” chuckled Soobin. “But do you know how it started? It started here, in this room. From a boy who used to fold a paper heart every day for his lost love, hoping each one he makes will take him closer to the day those eyes would open again.”
"Unfortunately for him, the day never came."
In other words, a hopeless love story of two childhood best friends who didn't realise what it meant to have each other until it was too late; compiled of yearning, loss, forlorn hope, unrequited love, and every tragedy in between.

Summary
Soobin is a cuddly drunk. On a normal occasion, Yeonjun would be thrilled—as a naturally touchy person himself, he never passes up a chance to cuddle with his usually reserved boyfriend. However, he has a game to win. Beomgyu had brazenly challenged Yeonjun to a game of Mario Kart, and Yeonjun always plays to win, regardless of the circumstances. But Soobin is making it infuriatingly hard to focus—his drunk boyfriend apparently deciding that now is the perfect time to get handsy with Yeonjun.
