“What… is being a big brother, to you?” he asked, before he could catch the words from getting out of his mouth.
Ace blinked and leaned back, seemingly caught off-guard.
“Wow, going straight for the hardest question in the book, huh?” commented Ace, but he soon hummed and looked down, thinking the question over. Sanji was almost surprised that he was humoring him, but then again, he wasn’t. “I suppose… protection. I want to protect Luffy, make sure that he’s not hurt. I know that the world is a horrible place and that his dream means that he will get hurt countless times, but still… I think it’s because of that that I want to do my part, help him as best as I can, take the heat from him as much as I can.”
Sanji’s brain– froze.
