It's been six months since the events at the Mechonis Core, and ever since then, Fiora has been trying to manage the best she can. Nothing is easy- she still has trouble getting out of bed in the morning, still hates her body, still wishes she could truly feel her boyfriend's touch. The only thing keeping her going is the promise that one day, Linada might be able to restore the body she lost to the hands of Egil, but even then, the hope is fleeting, and every day that passes leaves her with more and more doubts.
"Progress isn't linear," Linada told her one day, after Fiora had vented the growing frustrations she'd felt with herself since they’d returned to Colony 9. "You're allowed to mess up. You're allowed to have bad days. The only thing that matters is that you get back up. You keep trying."
So she does. She gets back up. And she keeps trying.
