Her bowstring is a vibrant red, and as her master pucks the edge of it with careful fingers, she feels, in some visceral, instinctual way, that she is to obey, protect—die for her master. With a whisper, she is pushed and pulled in a bright shine of light, and left blinking in disorientation as she discovers that she is standing, that she has feet, a body, a spirit, a name.
“Kichi,” her master says her name, hand outstretched and lips pulled into a soft, knowing smile. “You may call me Father.”

Kouyou laughs at him from behind the silk sleeve of her kimono, Dazai laughs openly, and Chuuya thinks he sees a flash of silver as Dazai’s phone is tucked out of sight. There’s bound to be at least ten pictures of him and Aya on that phone, if Chuuya cares to check.

Summary

The Allied Powers see their lives as expendable and meaningless. Some Nations are complacent. However, others aren't and will change the dynamic of everything by going against their country. Who are they? People? Nations? What do they want in life? Most can't fathom an answer to any of those questions.
