“We could find out tonight.” The girl said suggestively. “You could at least look at me while you’re being so blunt. Why aren’t you?”
“The leather jacket, probably.” Sohyun shot back, still avoiding making eye contact with the remarkably attractive girl.

Sooyoung cries as she drinks from the animal. Tears mixing with blood as the bird stops breathing, lifeless eyes staring up at her. Soothing, warm red blood, better tasting than she’s ever felt before, flowing down her throat.
Jinsol pets her hair as she feeds.
“You look so pretty when you drink, Sooyoung,” Jinsol whispers.

The room is too dark to properly see her face, but Jinsol can sense Sooyoung’s eyes on her. “Well,” Sooyoung says slowly, “it seems as if you’ve been having trouble sleeping. I thought it’d be better if there was someone next to you…”
“How would you know that?”
“I saw your pill bottle. The sleeping pills.”
Jinsol lays there, quiet. She hadn’t expected Sooyoung to be so observant. It’s an alien feeling, being looked after.
“If you want,” Sooyoung says, “I can go back to my room.”
Jinsol rolls back over to face the other side of the room. “Just stay here.”
After surviving a nearly deadly attempt on her life, Jinsol is sent out to an abandoned villa in the country for her own safety. She’d expected to endure her unofficial exile in solitude, but hadn’t counted on the constant presence of the property caretaker to affect her so much.
