He hated the way Cobb ordered him into it like it was nothing, especially when a tiny voice inside him raged and raged and raged in defiance, producing a throbbing pain in his temple that inevitably got him nowhere. He still ended up forced into the coffin, the cold taking over him the worst form of torture he ever experienced.

Tonight wasn’t about the Penguin, at least not really – it was about his buyers and the fact that they needed some airtight evidence on his involvement. A confession, maybe even a secondary location for some of his merchandise. Pretty standard information Jason planned on getting by pretending to be caught.
The moment Jason said the code phrase, Barbara would get them an extraction team. Not a moment later – but also not a moment earlier. That were the rules of the game. Missions like these meant pain, maybe even torture, just to get a few recordings of evidence and future leads. It was an ungrateful job – which was why Dick took them.
When Dick agreed to do this mission with Jason, he knew it would most likely include some physical pain - but waterboarding? Really? Dick hated getting waterboarded.

Red Hood’s modulated voice is bone-chilling. Nearly every sleaze-bag in Crime Alley had become accustomed to the gravely robotic nature of it. The unnatural shifts in his words and the variations in pitch being just ever so slightly off putting. Borderline uncanny, yet everyone who’s heard it knows there’s a human behind that voice. A man who choses to blow a hole through someone’s skull without so much of an afterthought.
Though, no one had ever heard that voice scream.
Not until tonight.
Or, Red Hood is captured, Nightwing saves him and while helping him afterwards, puts the wrong puzzle pieces together and confronts him which does not go quite how he planned.

Bruce grabs Dick's face with both his hands, forcing them to meet eyes, "Dick. Talk to me. Where are you hurt? You've lost so much blood — you're —"
"Not mine," Dick whispers, furrowing his brows like he's confused as to why Bruce is here, "Not my blood."
"Dick. Whose blood is this?" Bruce asks clearly, back to locking eyes with Dick, trying to bring him back to the bathroom covered in glass and not wherever he's lost himself in, "Chum, please. Dick whose blood is this?"
(Dick kills the Joker. Bruce hides three bodies.)
