We start at the very beginning, before being a Deputy in Hope County was even a thought in Lenni's mind. Now years later, arresting Joseph Seed seemed like just part of the job. But it was just one decision of many, that would change her life forever.
Please note: It’s a slow building story, I have written it that way on purpose because I wanted various plots to unfold and character building throughout. :)

Summary
Deputy Diana Baker ends her very first month on the Hope County Sheriffs’ Department thrust into a war she isn’t prepared for. While trying to rescue her colleagues who’ve been abducted, she is also doggedly avoiding the influence of the doomsday cult that tries, with claws and teeth, to draw her in. The more violence she is subjected to - and willingly commits - the more she feels a long-buried monster coming to life inside her. And there is one member of Joseph Seed’s little family who is particularly keen on seeing that monster brought into the light.

Summary
Eden's Gate Circus is one of the most established and renowned circuses in the world. John Seed, the showman, has a talent for flaunting the Circus's reputation. Jacob Seed tames the wild beasts that no one ever could. Faith Seed is a high flying siren, as entrancing and as beautiful as a siren should be. And lastly, Joseph Seed, the fortune teller, telling the world always what they want to hear but never giving them what they want to have. Together the family provides jobs to the homeless and food to the hungry. They have charities that give aid to low income families. People from all around the world come to them, come to listen to what fortunes Joseph has to give and see what death-defying stunts Faith can do. Everyone loves the circus and so then you might ask what the problem is, why the FBI would be so involved in the Eden's Gate operation. Well that is a question that Hope County's best Deputy must find the answer to.

They should never have been there. Whitehorse and Pratt were right when they spoke against going to Eden's Gate. They should have left The Project alone. They'd started something and there was no going back now. The lamb had broken the first seal and the deputy had been helpless to stop her.
