"In a post-war world, we're given the luxury of medical procedures that are not vital," Ratchet said. "By which I don't mean 'unnecessary', just 'not needed for survival'. It's a very nice change of pace."
"So this will be a thing now? You'll do... cosmetic surgeries?"
Ratchet shrugged a little. "In the end," he said, "a medic is a servant to the needs of others. My job is largely reactive. Ventral fuel line clogged? I can fix that for you. Hinges grinding? I fix it. Rust infection; I fix that too. Why not do this as well? It's just on you to tell me what you need."

Summary
Orion Pax had a comfortable, unremarkable life. A diligent student at the Academy of Sciences in Iacon, he had landed a job as a data clerk, working in the archives of the Hall of Records. He read, he worked, and sometimes he even managed to get his best friend Ratchet to go have a drink with him. Nothing at all would have prepared him with a chance encounter with a lower caste labour frame who, despite not knowing how to read, wanted to see the inside of the library, and then proceeded to change Orion's views, and ultimately, his life.

Summary
He prided himself on his self-control, forever chewing on metaphorical shards to see how much he could swallow and spitting them out right before they cut open his throat. But that often changed when it came to Prime. There was something that just made him want to let all hell break loose from the reins of his spark, to see it reflected in those electrifying cyan optics and dragged out in equal measure from his rival. Be it in battle, banter or, well, whatever semblance of berth their exchange had been, he would take and take and take, with all its gashes, anything- everything his enemy was and all that he painted himself not to be.
And oh, what Optimus could be.

Neither of them walked away from that prison cell unaffected, and going back to how things were seems to become more and more unlikely as another threat arises.
