Canon divergence, set after S02E25 and Seijoh’s extra scenes from Haikyuu!! Movie 3: Sainou to Sense | Anger is a strong bitter feeling held against someone who has behaved badly, making one want to shout at them or hurt them.
After the match, Oikawa is angry with himself. Invaded by memories, he thinks on his favourite motto: “If you’re going to hit it, hit it until it breaks.” Oikawa wonders how nobody had told him what happened if the one breaking was himself; how no one had warned him of that possibility. Not even Iwaizumi’s steady and grounded presence could have prepared him for what and how he feels.
Oikawa is unprepared, he knows it, yet events unfold.

Summary
After the match against Karasuno, Ushijima found himself unexpectedly faced with Oikawa and Iwaizumi. He wasn’t supposed to overhear their conversation. It was rude but, just like it had happened since the first time he had met the setter, Ushijima couldn’t help but feel drawn to Oikawa.
Years later, Ushijima faces Oikawa one more time… and accepting his lingering feelings, he tries to make amends.

Summary
Landing in Fukuoka after a turbulent plane ride with his luggage trashed doesn't have Kaoru in the best state of mind for what might be the most important introduction of his life. Re-introduction, because he'd grown up in the Nanjo house even more than his own.
“I don’t want to be any trouble,” Kaoru says quickly.
“That’s funny,” Kojiro says, dropping a kiss high on his temple. “Usually you like causing trouble.”
Kaoru swats at Kojiro’s chest and his parents laugh.
“I’m trying to make a good impression,” Kaoru hisses and Kojiro looks at him like its the funniest thing he’s ever said.
“You’re about twenty-three years too late for that,” Kojiro teases, scooping up Kaoru’s hand before it can collide with his chest.Alternatively: Kaoru is not the same person he was when he last saw Kojiro's parents seven years ago. He's better now. He's worthy of their son - he hopes.

You don’t wake up and decide you like a guy like Haruki, and then just go for it. Not after what Akihiko did. Haruki, after all, was a person you can easily take for granted, and Akihiko was determined not to do any more of that than he already did.

There's something maybe serendipitous about it: forgetting your wallet the day before your free day, meeting your ex's boyfriend at a bus stop you never use, seeing said ex at the same bus stop as he fumbles his way to his new boyfriend’s good graces.
