Looking at the wings more closely, Flux notices that the usually bright white feathers seem abnormally dull and quite a few of them look out of place and/or broken. Flux whistles at the disrepair of the once stunning feathery appendages.
“Yeah that doesn’t seem quite right now that I look at them.” he winces.
“God. This will take hours to do myself. I don't have time for this!” Saps whined as he leaned against his friend dramatically.“I could help, y’know?” Flux says, nudging Saps’ hand with his own.
A slow heat blooms in the avian’s face, traveling down his neck with slow progression.

This is because Fluixon, the bastard, got himself bitten and turned into a vampire, and now he desperately relies on blood to survive.
..Well. He desperately relies on it when that’s convenient for him.
When it’s not? It’s even more convenient to use that fact against Saparata.
or, fluixon being a stubborn prick and refusing to drink saps’ blood, even if it kills him. spoiler alert, saps won’t let it.

"No. No, you didn't," Oskar shook his head, looking past the other's frame to see if there wasn't anything more going on. "Did you need something from me for you to knock on my door at such a late hour?"
Now, this felt more difficult to do than he thought it would be.

or, silas cannot seem to fall asleep, so he (unintentionally) seeks out oskar's company. comfortable in each other's presence, they end up on the same bed in each other's arms.

Flux blinked. "What?"
"The retreat. You'll be stuck in the same place for three days. He can’t run away." She shrugged, like it was the simplest thing in the world. "Sounds like the perfect opportunity to me."
