Really, Victor had known since forever, as natural as the way blood coursed through his veins or the way he knew his nerves fired signals, fanning out like tiny networks of roads under his skin. He only began to name it around eleven or twelve, when his body began to change and his mind grew sharp enough to understand the psychology books that his parents left around the house centered around therapizing diverse clients. It was so obvious; he almost laughed when he realized. How could he not have figured it out earlier?
