But again- like an owner training their unruly dog, Castiel stopped him in his tracks, fingers pressing against his forehead, sending him falling back almost immediately. And Dean was weak, helpless to it, falling against the mattress with a dull flop. He was then falling, feeling like he was melting into the bed, darkness overtaking him once again, all the light and grace he had felt before had vanished. Like a dog tossed out to the cold- thrown away.
