Nagi gets eliminated, haunts the narrative, and makes a comeback. Reo tries his best to deal, but it’s all made much more difficult by the fact that everyone and their mother saw him cry on live TV.

He does not mention a name, and he does not say Reo Mikage, but the whole world seems to think he did.

Summary
The next time Chigiri sees Nagi, it's at lunch with Kunigami and Isagi, and he has a silver band on his ring finger. Chigiri can't stop himself from bursting out with, "You got married?" and everyone immediately whips around to stare at them.
"I didn't," Nagi says. He's sluggish to answer, eyes dull and half-lidded, and he barely turns to acknowledge Chigiri. It's not entirely uncharacteristic of him, but there's something strangely robotic about the way he leans away when Chigiri reaches for his shoulder.
"The ring finger is for couples, isn't it?" Chigiri asks. "People will think you're engaged, or something. Isn't it kind of weird?"
Nagi shifts uncomfortably in his seat. "I wouldn't mind," he whispers.
(Five times Nagi loved Reo from afar, and one time he didn't have to.)

“Wouldn’t that be a hassle?” Nagi asks with bored eyes. “We’d have to take turns showering..”
Oh, god no. Not again.
Or; Reo plans on making Nagi realise he’s the best suitable mate for him to start courting, even if it takes weeks of hints towards it, hints Nagi can’t seem to catch.

Summary
The door to the underworld wasn’t much of a door, really. It was the most unassuming entrance Reo had ever seen, in a blink-and-you’d miss-it sort of way — a little patch of air that shimmered every so often, like it was trying to hide itself and hoped you wouldn’t pick up on it.
This time, it took Reo about ten minutes to find it, muttering curses under his breath as he did so. The disturbance was particularly hard to notice that day, and he had an inkling as to why that was. Any more obvious and Nagi would have had to spell it out in giant blocky letters. Reo could imagine it easily: dark, bolded words spelling out “I'M NOT GOING”, complete with big floating skulls and the general doom and gloom the God of Death loved to sprinkle on his creations.
The only two reasons why Nagi hadn't gone for that route were easy enough to guess: 1. It was too much of a hassle. 2. He knew Reo would be stubborn enough to try anyway.

It can’t be the first confession Reo’s heard before. Maybe the first confession from a boy, though.
Reo makes a strange noise. His expression contorts a few times, before landing on bewilderment. He puts his pencil down. Nagi glances away.
“You’re… you’re in…” Reo trails off. Nagi stares at his own hands. “Nagi, where’s—where’s this coming from?”
Nagi does a half-shrug with one shoulder without looking up. “Dunno.”
He coughs.

There’s Mikage Reo, synonymous with all that’s good in this world, at least to Seishiro. He looks different; his hair is longer and he’s much warier.
(He looks exactly how Seishiro remembers him.)
Or: Somehow, Seishiro gets Hanahaki, a year since he’s seen the only boy he’s ever loved. He handles it extremely well, which is to say, not at all.
