Alternate title: Yet Another Episode 7 Retcon AU
The end of Episode 7 is beautiful and awful and right for the story, but when I wiped away my tears I still wanted to see the dynamics of a thousand-year-old vampire and a crazy kid. A brief flash of connection between two people can change one forever if the other dies and becomes a static memory. But if we have two messy, flawed characters who are very much alive (well, undead anyway), can they still change each other for the better?
So here's what might have been.
This AU branches from the end of Episode 7 and reimagines the finale with Avid's input.
