It should have been a perfect plan; Keith has always slept during long car rides. All it’d take is a few advil for the cramps and he’d be out like a light, waking up just in time to sequester himself in his room for a few more days. Then he’d be able to spend some good quality time with Kolivan at the end of his heat.
What he didn’t account for is Kolivan’s rut.
Keith can’t actually remember the last time he’s seen one of Kolivan’s rut. He tries to, and the best he can think of is back when he was maybe thirteen or fourteen and he had missed a soccer tournament because Kolivan was too anxious for him to leave the apartment. It stuck with him because that was the first time Kolivan’s rut had meant Keith would miss out on more than just school and tests, and he had complained something fierce. He must have said something about it, because for the life of him he can’t remember seeing Kolivan in rut since.

He tucks the card into Shiro’s front pocket, gives the wet wool a pat. Then he skips back to the car and leaves with a cheery honk of the horn.
Shiro stands dumbstruck in the rain, wondering what exactly just happened.

“I’ve been very naughty.”
Now Shiro has to gulp as Keith follows him onto the chair. Sitting on Santa’s lap. Only Keith is straddling Santa’s lap, his hands touching Shiro’s shoulders for a moment before they drop down to hold over Shiro’s pecs.
Keith watches his own hands with wide eyes, like he can’t believe his own brazenness. He takes a breath and shifts closer in Shiro’s lap. The proximity seems to strengthen his resolve, because then Keith smirks and plucks at one of Shiro’s suspenders. He pulls it back and lets it snap back to Shiro’s chest. “Very naughty,” Keith repeats.
“Oh, uh… That’s…” Shiro stumbles over his words as Keith scoots closer and looks him over with dark eyes. “H-how naughty?”

Summary
It was never supposed to happen. He was never supposed to be here.
Despite all the plans he concocted, all the contingencies he committed to memory, Bruce could have never been prepared for this. What had started out as a Christmas party he'd been tricked into attending, and a night where he'd believed the hardest thing he'd have to deal with was Shayera killing Wally over Mario Kart, turned into an abundance of moments where Clark backed him into a verbal corner and made his heart want things it couldn't have.
Oh yeah, and then there was the time travel.
An attack by renegade, sentient light later, and Batman found himself on Krypton. Then in Jor-El's custody. And that somehow segued into him becoming a baby Kal-El's nanny by day, a man desperately trying to save Krypton by night.
This was why Bruce Wayne hated Christmas.

Summary
Getting with Shiro is worth anything. Anything. So Keith is going to fake being the cliche with daddy issues - complete with stuffed animals, booty shorts, and an utter loss of dignity - until he makes it. Hopefully along the way he'll figure out why it feels like being Shiro's baby boy might just be the best thing that’s ever happened to him.
Keith has a moment where he wonders, somewhat blankly, how he bought this perfectly serviceable shirt and then promptly forgot its existence. Then he looks down. And remembers in a series of post traumatic flashbacks exactly why he’d blocked the shirt from his consciousness.
Namely, three words, in a font that isn’t comic sans but comes insultingly close to it, garnished with red glitter: Daddy’s Little Boy.
“Keith?” Very slowly, he turns to look at the closed door to his bedroom. “Keith, are you okay? I heard…” Probably some kind of vaguely strangled noise. But Shiro’s too nice to articulate that kind of thing. “Keith? If you don’t answer, I’m coming in.”
